A second home for a Charlotte entrepreneur, this lake house seeks to maximize views down the length of a two mile stretch of Lake Norman. Situated on a very narrow site, the building is fragmented in order to orient the living spaces toward specific views while creating an open courtyard for entertaining.
The stark modern exterior of the building contrasts with much of the surrounding architecture but the vast expanses of glass expose the warm interior to the public and creates a welcoming, and extremely public, face at night.
